I have a suggestion seeing that you are a new ABBA listener……listen to and react to the ABBA song “I’ve Been Waiting for You”…..it was recorded at the same time as SOS and it was sung by the same blonde girl. The song is very different in its tempo and subject matter……it’s almost a polar opposite to SOS, but you will find the same intangible charm. Its not the melody, it’s not the lyrics…..it is THEM. This is my 5th favorite song of all time.

I always loved the arrangement of this song. The angelic harmonies entering at 1:38, the subtle organ licks by Billy Preston, especially at 4:22 when Billy's part adds a real gospel flavor. Of course, any song that creates a powerful emotion is aremarkable creation.
